  • Business ethics grounded with fundamental honesty and integrity

  • Dedication to a professional work ethic

  • Value-added service

Coresential is one of the Southeast's most established businesses representing manufacturers' product lines for electrical, lighting and communications.  With a solid history tracing back to 1987, Coresential has grown through natural expansion, acquisitions and mergers into the respected company it is today.

Carolina Controls Group (CCG) pioneers the path in lighting controls, fixtures and lighting systems with superior knowledge, service, products and innovation.

The decision to join these two companies was an easy one. Our agencies shared the same philosophy; we wanted to strengthen our relevance to the sales channels we serve and provide the best possible solution and service to our customers. Coresential represents top tier manufacturers in the commercial, industrial and lighting space. CCG complements Coresential’s partnerships by adding top tier manufacturers known for innovative products in residential and commercial smart lighting controls, automated shading, audio and video solutions.

Both CCG and Coresential have enjoyed exponential growth. Our success and scale is attributed to market share pursuit, acquisition, merger and adding additional geography. Coresential‐CCG represents the best brands in the industry in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, the Caribbean, and the Bahamas, and we are committed to seek partnerships and opportunities to ensure Coresential-CCG’s continued success.

Founding principal John Gunn (retired June 2014) established Gunn-Creel & Associates, Inc. along with George Creel in 1988.

The name of the company was changed to "GCA" following George Creel's retirement in 2000. Concurrently, Joe Tumlin (then Sales Manager) was elevated to a partner position with GCA. Joe, a principal of the company, now serves as President of the Commercial Division.

GCA acquired Griffin Electrical Sales in 2004, doubling the company in size. This growth established the base for the 2009 merger with Electrical Marketing Services (EMS), a company founded by Joe Yore in 1987 and later purchased by his son James (Jamey) Yore in 2005. The company was then known as GCA/EMS. Jamey Yore is strategically involved as a principal and currently serves as President of the Industrial Division.

Robin Conway joined the agency in 2009. Robin is President of the Energy & Lighting Solutions Division.

These evolutions provided a stronger line of products, an increased sales staff, and a wider reach of service. The company changed its name from GCA/EMS to Coresential in January 2011, positioning the company for additional growth and expansion.

Coresential serves wholesalers and end-users, and provides manufacturers, distributors and contractors with technical expertise, bilingual, experienced and knowledgeable staff, with the highest standards of service. Guided by seven core values, Coresential offers leading manufacturers reliable, professional, aggressive, sales and marketing representation throughout the entire area it serves.
